House Targaryen
House Targaryen is an emergent faction, and a major power found within Westeros after completing 'The Message' quest for Lord Vary's. Their leader is King Aegon Targaryen, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
Their sigil is a three-headed dragon breathing flames on a field of black. Their motto is "Fire and blood." Their motto comes from the Valyrian ability to bound and use dragons, and the blood they spill with them.
Their map colour is Blood Red.
History
Location
The Targaryen incursion into Westeros starts with the castle of Griffins roost. A small bastion in the Stormlands, perked up on a mountain, forests surrounding and the sea to the west. The Targaryen forces will gather their strength and likely head north to take King's Landing proper.
Religion
Most of the Targaryen's are Westerosi and worship the Seven Faced God, more commonly referred to as the faith of the seven.
Members of the Faith worship the Seven Who Are One, a single deity with seven aspects or faces. For the less educated, however, this concept is often difficult to grasp, causing them to often believe that there are indeed seven different gods. Depending on their need, worshipers pray to specific faces of the Seven.

The Targaryen is a very well balanced Kingdom. Balanced skills throughout and decent armour and shields, they aren't superior than most of the Seven Kingdoms, but no worse off. The Targaryen's fields some of the best cavalry, as well as longbowmen. The Dragon Guard are an elite heavy shock cavalry than will cut swathes. Their Longbowmen have excellent range and accuracy. Targaryen troops are best used in a shield wall, as your longbowmen volley fire and charging your cavalry when appropriate.
Unique, Heritage Based Troops
The player can recruit the following special, elite troops if Valyrian is chosen as the starting people:
-Dragon Guard can be recruited from the NPC named Illyrio Mopatis at his mansion near Pentos if starting people is Valyrian AND if renown is high enough.

-The Dragon Guard are one of the most elite heavy cavalry units in the game. Serve as devastating heavy shock cavalry.
Recruiting Targaryen Troops
In order to recruit Targaryen units from villages you own as an independent kingdom you will need to select a Valyrian race on character creation. Targaryen units may also be recruited from fiefs owned by King Aegon Targaryen (see Vary's Quests). Additional ways to recruit Targaryen units is to rescue them from enemy lords parties, find them in taverns, or rescue them from enemy garrisons.
