Although The Lannisters are governed by Lord Tywin Lannister, Kings Landing is ruled by King Joffrey Baratheon, the current King of The Seven Kingdoms, King of the Andals, the First men and protector of the realm. Described by most as an arrogant and sadistic king. To bolster there influence and forces, The Lannisters proposed an alliance with Prince Doran Nymeros Martell of Dorne, head of House Martell, they accepted the proposal.
