While not a quick as the sea routes and extremely dangerous, the overland trade routes avoid the hefty toll that ships must pay to pass through the Jade Gates held by Qarth. While Qohor has a sinister reputation, this is due to the god of Qohor, the Black Goat of Qohor, requiring constant blood sacrifice, it holds a highly enlightened and educated society.
